Caricature Gallery

This page has a collection of caricature carvings that I've carved over the years.  Some are from classes I took with notable carvers (Hammack, Hiser, Hershey, Rhadigan, etc.)  And some are my own design. 

The photographer is my design with the help of Chris Hammack.  It's based on photo that I found on the internet.

The candle caricature was a unique challenge in that it is turned first on a wood lathe and then carved.

The conductor is from a Jim Hiser class.  Jim provided multiple ideas of subjects to carve but encouraged us to think outside of the box.  The subject matter was my idea, but it was Jim's roughout and help that led to this.

The mechanic was done from a bandsaw blank in one of Jim Feather's classes.
